VP, Revenue (Remote or In the Office) 

DataBlend, a specialized iPaaS software company focused on integrating the everyday applications of finance and accounting, is looking for an innovative, hands-on, inspirational leader to join our team as the VP, Revenue.  As VP, Revenue, you will drive growth by building two revenue streams – direct and indirect.

Reporting directly to the CEO and President, the VP, Revenue’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:    

  • Attracting, hiring, mentoring, and managing a sales and channel team from the ground up to grow market share and achieve aggressive sales targets 
  • Building, training, managing, and supporting a network of strategic resellers  
  • Creating your own pipeline and closing opportunities to supplement sales while the team is being built 
  • Setting clear goals and objectives for each person on your team and supporting the team’s achievement of those goals 
  • Instilling a culture of accountability through close monitoring of weekly and monthly targets 
  • Reporting progress against goals on a weekly basis 
  • Implementing a buying process that supports high-velocity and makes buying and selling easier 
  • Collaborating with marketing to create content (e.g. videos) to support the buying lifecycle  
  • Coordinating with services on pricing and proposals 
  • Documenting product ideas to the product management team 
  • Driving internal efficiency through improved process and adoption of new technology

Required Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business  
  • Experience in the finance sector. 
  • Familiarity with a variety of accounting and finance software applications (Workday Adaptive Planning, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and/or Salesforce to name a few). 
  • 10+ years of progressive direct sales experience and management 
  • Track record of success in building and developing a team 
  • Ability to be a thought leader in the space and represent a brand 
  • Value being an equity holder and building a business as if it was your own company 
  • Experience in a business-to-business environment 
  • Outstanding presentation skills, both in person and via virtual meeting tools and/or conference calls 
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills 
  • The ability to work collaboratively with many different teams 
  • The ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization 
  • Technology and/or professional services experience 
  • Start-up experience
