Have you met Zachary Griggs yet? Zachary joined DataBlend last June and he’s recently been promoted to VP of Client Experiences! To celebrate this milestone with Zachary, we wanted to do a short introduction. Read and hear more about Zachary below.
Where are you from?
I’m from Westchester, NY, which is about 45 minutes north of NYC.
What’s your background?
I spent time doing operational accounting at a SaaS company prior to DataBlend. In addition to my SaaS experience, I have also worked with finance teams for nonprofit organizations throughout my entire career. I have my MBA in Accounting from State University of New York College at Oswego.
Tell me about your role.
I manage the Client Success and Implementation Service teams at DataBlend. I am closely involved in projects from pre-sales through post-go-live support to provide a holistic view of the user experience or partners, clients, and our internal team.
What’s your favorite moment from the past year?
Personal: Finding out that I am going to be a dad!
DataBlend: It isn’t one instance but working with our awesome team to collaborate on how to deliver on our mission to empower the office of finance by demystifying a historically necessary but complex process of integrating financial systems.
How do you empower finance and accounting?
I personally empower finance and accounting teams by being able to share my experiences and knowledge of their use cases to make recommendations for improvement and best practices. During my time as a director of finance and still to this day, I have lived the pain points that our clients experience through disconnected and inefficient systems and processes. Being able to tap into that experience to provide recommended improvements for their everyday responsibilities can save them time from mundane tasks and improve efficiency and data integrity.
