Three Takeaways from the Digital CPA (DCPA) Conference

DB DCPA RecapDataBlend sponsored the Digital CPA (DCPA) Conference in Las Vegas earlier this month. It was our first time sponsoring this event, and a tremendous success. For over a decade, the Digital CPA conference has been the premier event for forward-thinking accounting professionals ready to shape the profession's future, especially in client advisory services (CAS).

Over the last year, DataBlend introduced a solution to simplify the loading of client files for CAS providers. With DataBlend, CAS providers can automate file uploads into their ERPs to drive growth and deliver ROI in their outsourcing practice.

DataBlend's Senior Director of Revenue, North America, Andrew McDonnell, and DataBlend Account Executive Erik Neilssen represented the company at the DCPA Conference. In addition to meeting with DataBlend customers and leads, they had the chance to attend a few sessions hosted by DCPA. Andrew McDonnell specifically noted three crucial points that were particularly noteworthy.

Three takeaways:
  1. Integrating client data into Sage was automated, resulting in a 50-70% reduction in manual processes. (Michael Smith RSM)
  2. Teams sometimes struggle with embracing automation, as they may feel that machines are replacing them. However, Jenni Huotari from Eide Bailly emphasizes that teams should not cling to manual processes; instead, they should focus on enhancing their skill set by diverting their time towards advisory and client-facing tasks.
  3. Really good technology begins and ends with exceptional people who understand the technology, its implications, and how to master it. (Becky Munson EisnerAmper)

The Digital CPA Conference provided a comprehensive overview of the transformative trends and technologies reshaping the accounting industry. DataBlend is proud to sponsor DCPA this year and hopes to continue supporting it for years to come.

Eliminate Export & Import Time with DataBlend

It's common for accountants to manipulate payroll files in Excel and manually upload them to your ERP (i.e., Sage Intacct). It's time-consuming and prone to errors. DataBlend provides an easier and faster way to drop payroll files into a journal entry.
